POPULAR QUESTIONS

Got a question? We’re here to help.

  • What is the difference between gymnastics and tumbling?

Gymnastics is apparatus-based: Gymnasts perform on equipment including vault, bars, beam, and floor exercise. This variety allows your child to develop a wide range of skills, from balance and agility to upper body strength and coordination.

Best For: Children who enjoy variety, want to build strength and flexibility across multiple disciplines, and might be interested in competing in a structured environment.

Unlike gymnastics, which includes apparatuses, tumbling focuses purely on floor exercises, meaning your child will concentrate on mastering rolls, cartwheels, jumps, and other acrobatic elements.

Best For: Children ages 6 and up who love flipping and tumbling.  It’s also a great option for kids involved in cheerleading or dance, as tumbling skills are often needed in those activities.

  • What should my child wear to class?

Each of our programs has recommended attire.

    • Gymnastics and Tumbling - a leotard is recommended for girls.  Tight fitting athletic clothing (shirt tucked in) is recommended for boys and those not in a leotard.  All athletes should enter barefoot.
    • Ninja - athletic clothing and tennis shoes
    • Dance - our dancers follow a dress code that can be viewed here.
    • ELT - seasonally appropriate clothing and tennis shoes.  Optional to wear a leotard under clothing.
  • How do I schedule a make up class?

We understand that family schedules can be crazy!  We are happy to schedule a make up for recreational students in a class with availability.  Recreational students can accrue up to 2 make up tokens per month that must be used within 30 days.

  • How are classes billed?

Class pricing for all of our classes is based on the class program (ie ninja, tumbling) and length of each class. Tuition is priced on a monthly basis and is payable via automatic withdrawal (credit card or EFT) on the 1st of every month. Students that join in the middle of a month will pay the prorated tuition amount for the first month upon enrollment.  Students are continuously enrolled and tuition is billed on the 1st of every month.

Tuition prices per month remain constant regardless of holidays and gym closings. While some months will have 5 classes others will have 3, and overall it will average out to about 4 classes per month. Tuition is not prorated based on the number of classes your child is able to attend. However, we do offer  in class make ups for recreaitonal students. Make ups must be scheduled at the same location you attend.

  • How do I cancel my enrollment?

We understand that schedules and interests change over time.  If your student needs to drop a class, please email the location you are enrolled at by the 27th of the current month.  There is a $10 late fee for all drops processed after the drop deadline.

In addition, we would love to hear your feedback on ways we can improve!

  • What happens if there is inclement weather?

Pinnacle will notify all customers via email in the instance of an inclement weather closing.  All recreational classes canceled due to inclement weather will be issued a make up token.  Weather closings will also be posted on the home page of our website and on our social media pages.
