Our school age gymnastics program starts at age 7. These beginner, intermediate, and advanced gymnastics classes for age 7+ are a great way to keep kids involved in an extracurricular activity.
Prerequisite: None
This class consists of children seven years and up and ten years up, respectively. It will focus on basic gymnastics skills for those with little or no gymnastics experience. All four apparatus will be used in teaching introductory skills.
Lastly, skills include: forward and backward roll, cartwheel, handstand, pull over, and casts. Class ratio around 8:1.
Prerequisite: Mastery of Beginner 7+ or 5/6 Intermediate or evaluation by Pinnacle Staff
This class will consist of children seven years and up. More advanced skills will be taught to those with some gymnastics experience.
Lastly, skills include: round-off, back walkover, front hip circle, handstand on beam, and basic dance skills. Class ratio around 8:1
Prerequisite: Mastery of Int 7+ or evaluation by Pinnacle Staff. This class is recommended twice a week. 10% discount for enrolling in two classes.
This class consists of children seven years and up. To insure proper progression, this class is recommended to be taken twice a week.
Lastly, skills include: back handspring, front handspring, dismount off beam, handstand flat back, squat on, and stride circle. Class ratio around 8:1.
Prerequisite: Mastery of Int/Adv
This class consists of children seven years and up. Also, this class is grouped by gender as skills are more specific to Olympic apparatus competed by male and female athletes. Students in these classes incorporate strength and flexibility training along with their skill sets.
Lastly, skills include: round off back handspring, front hip circle, front handspring, and handstand on beam.
Prerequisite: None
This class consists of students ages five to eight years. The class will focus only on tumbling, mainly round off and back handspring. This is a perfect class for those in cheerleading or those simply wanting to focus on the floor apparatus. Class ratio around 8:1.
Lastly, these classes focus on round off, back handspring over a rollie, backbend, and kick over.
Prerequisite: Mastery of Tumbling 101 and 201, respectively.
These classes will focus only on tumbling, mainly round off back handspring, aerials, and back tucks. This is a perfect class for those in cheerleading or those simply wanting to focus on the floor apparatus. Class ratio around 8:1.
Also, T201 skills include round off back handspring, standing back handspring, and front handspring.
Lastly, T301 skills include round off back handspring back tuck, standing back tuck, and front tuck.
Team Development classes are by invitation only. Skills correspond with those of USAG Levels 1, 2, and 3 and include round off back handspring and front hip circles.
